Donese Southard Medley

Mrs. Donese Southard Medley, age 84, formerly of Dobson, passed away Friday, January 27, 2023, at Chatham Nursing and Rehabilitation in Elkin. Mrs. Medley was born September 28, 1938, in Surry County , to the late O. Hilton Southard and the late Callie Mae Burton Southard. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Linda Janice Cranfill.

            Left to cherish her memories are her loving husband, Teddy Aldean Medley; her son, Christopher Medley; nieces, Paula Moore and Renee Hartman; a nephew, Marty Medley;a great niece, Haley “Miss Priss” Cook; and many friends and extended family. Mrs. Medley was a loving daughter, sister, mother, aunt, and great aunt She was retired from Lucent Technologies, was a member of Fairview Baptist Church, and was a friend to all who knew her.

Visitation will be Tuesday, January 31, 2023, from 2:00-3:00 PM at Moody-Davis Funeral Service in Dobson. Services will begin at 3:00 PM in the Moody-Davis Chapel with Dr. Dan Merritt and Dr. Billy Nale officiating. Burial will follow in the Fairview Baptist Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Fairview Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 7659 Highway 268, Dobson NC 27017. Moody-Davis Funeral Service is serving the Medley Family.
