Donnie Lee Childress

Mr. Donnie Lee Childress, age 59 of Mt. Airy passed away Saturday, October 13, 2007 at Northern Hospital of Surry County. Mr. Childress was born in Hawkins County TN, September 29, 1948 to the late Ed June and Elizabeth Salyers Childress. He worked for Surry County Schools. He is survived by fiancee', Sharon M. Hutchens of the home; three daughters, Elizabeth Donnell Childress, Melissa Childress and Wendy Childress all of Bristol; three sisters and a brother-in-law, Cathy and Lewis Smith of Bristol, VA, Gloria Smith of Blountville, TN, Virginia Jackson of Kansas City, MO; a brother and sister-in-law, Sammy and Gladys Childress of Bristol, VA and several nieces and nephews and special friends Robert and Juanita Easter. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, October 16, 2007 at 3:30 PM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Lewis Smith with burial to follow at the Midkiff Family Cemetery.
