Doris Ann White Greenwood

Mrs. Doris Ann White Greenwood, age 59, of Dobson, NC a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and a friend to all, passed away on Wednesday morning August 28, 2013 after a short illness at Forsyth Medical Center. She was born in Surry County to Etta Hodges White and the late Albert Ray White. She was a member of Mount Hermon Baptist Church and was retired from Surry Telephone with over 37 years of service. Surviving are her husband of over thirty seven years Danny Roy Greenwood, of the home; son and fiancée Timothy Travis Greenwood and Jennifer Ann White; granddaughter Keely Breanne Greenwood; mother Etta Hodges White of Dobson; sister and brother-in-law Opie and Steve McKeaver of Dobson; nephews Chris and wife Pam McKeaver, Brian Greenwood, two great nieces Sydney, and Carrie McKeaver; mother-in-law Mary Greenwood of Mt. Airy; sister-in-law and brother-in-law Joyce and Bob Perry of Pilot Mountain; brother-in-law and sister-in-law Charles and Sharon Greenwood of Mt. Airy. Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Friday August 30, 2013 at Mount Hermon Baptist Church, with Burial to follow in the church cemetery. Rev. Charlie Kennedy conducting the service. The family will receive friends at Mount Hermon Baptist Church on Friday from 12:00 noon until the time of her service. The family has requested in lieu of flowers memorials be made to the Mount Hermon Baptist Church C/O Andrea Phillips 128 Chaney Ln, Dobson, NC 27017
