Doris Marie Marshall

Mrs. Doris Marie Coble Goad Marshall, 83, of Galax, VA, passed away at Hillsville Health and Rehab, Thursday, December 24, 2020.  She was born in Guilford County, NC, December 8, 1937, to the late Charles “Charlie” Floyd Coble and Ila Melvina Sharpe Coble.  She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Benita and Jack Bryant of Galax; grandchildren and spouses, Andrea M. and Tim Baskett, Andrew Michael and Emily Goad, Jack C. and Da Bryant, Nathan A. and Sommer Bryant, Emily D. Perdue, and Victoria Goad; great-grandchildren, Landon Goad, and Sawyer N. Bryant; a sister-in-law, Shirley Coble; special nieces and nephews, Carolyn and Shane Sharpe, and Deana Coble, and Lec Coble.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Marshall was preceded in death by her first husband, Luther Washington Goad; her second husband, Paul Maynard Marshall; a son, David Michael Goad; sisters and brothers-in-law, Velner and Howard Williamson, and Irene and Clarence Blake; brothers and sisters-in-law, Clarence and Kathleen Coble, Leslie Coble, Marvin and Cindy Coble, Cletus and Dorothy Coble.  A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM, on Sunday, December 27, 2020 at New Beginnings Baptist Church Cemetery with Dr. Kevin Rosenfeld officiating.
