Doris Joan Fain Nunn

Mrs. Doris Joan Fain Nunn, 59, of 154 Roger Nunn Road, Stuart, VA, passed away Monday, September 25, 2006, at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem. Mrs. Nunn was born October 15, 1946, in Patrick County, VA, to the late Leonard John and Myrtle Edwards Fain. She was a homemaker, a farmer, and an employee of J.P. Stevens Company for 38 years. Mrs. Nunn was a member of Oak Ridge Baptist Church in Cana, VA. She is survived by her husband, Roger Lee Nunn of the home; a daughter and son-in-law, Teresa and Sammy Williams of Stuart, VA; a son and a daughter-in-law, Roger Allen and Ronda Nunn of Stuart, VA; six sisters and brothers-in-law, Dorothy and James Fain of Stuart, VA, Delphia and Jack Wall of Dobson, Ruby and Joel Sheppard of Westfield, Judy and John Bowman of Meadows of Dan, VA, Brenda and Doug Wilkey of Mount Airy, and Linda and Edward Hill of Cana, VA; eight brothers and sisters-in-law, Arlice and Kathleen Fain, Albert and Linda Fain, Burton and Vickie Fain, Carl and Linda Fain, and Harold and Shirley Fain, all of Stuart, VA, Wayne and Jackie Fain of Ararat, VA, William and Kay Fain of Fieldale, VA, and Bruster and Margaret Fain of Ridgeway, VA; a special friend, Pam Medders of Stuart, VA; and a beloved pet, Dusty. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Nunn was preceded in death by a sister, Della Young. The funeral service will be held Wednesday, September 27, 2006, at 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mount Airy. The service will be conducted by the Rev. David "Buster" Sechrist, and burial will be in the Nunn Family Cemetery in Stuart, VA. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 7:00 to 9:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home in Mount Airy.
