Doris Lee Marion Pruitt

Mrs. Doris Lee Marion Pruitt age 70 of Mount Airy, widow of Herman Dennis Pruitt, Sr. passed away on Tuesday, January 30, 2007 at Forsyth Medical Center. Mrs. Pruitt was born in Surry County on December 26, 1936 daughter of the late William Vance Marion, Sr. and Bertha Atkins Marion and was retired from Bassett Furniture Company. Surviving are a granddaughter, Cheyene Montana Pruitt of Boonville and two brothers, William Vance Marion, Sr. of Thomasville and Donald Marion of Mount Airy. In addition to her parents and her husband she was preceded in death by two sons Jerry Lee Cave and Herman Dennis Pruitt, Jr. Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, January 31, 2007 at 3:00 PM at Oakdale Cemetery. The service will be conducted by Rev. Mitchell Pruitt. The family will receive friends at Moody Funeral Home on Wednesday from 2:00 until time to go to the cemetery for the service.
