Doris Belle Allen Weller

Mrs. Doris Belle Allen Weller, 80, of Mount Airy, passed away Friday morning, December 4, 2015, at Carilion Franklin Memorial Hospital in Rocky Mount, VA. Mrs. Weller was born September 28, 1935, in Town of Day, NY, the daughter of the late Norman Monroe Allen, Sr. and Ellen Vernon Allen. Doris was a devoted homemaker, who loved caring for her family. She is survived by two daughters, Doreen Suzanne Weller Lawson of Mount Airy and Mary Ellen Weller of Rocky Mount, VA; three sons and two daughters-in-law, Bruce Alan Weller, Jr. and Beverly Weller of Orange City, FL, Michael Edward and Mary Ann Weller of Deland, FL, and Schuyler Lee Weller of Rocky Mount, VA; eight grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Weller was preceded in death by her husband, Bruce Alan Weller, Sr.; a son, Norman Andrew Weller; three sisters, Gretta Allen, Jane Kellogg, and Carol Sweet; and a brother, Norman Monroe Allen, Jr. Moody Funeral Services in Mount Airy is arranging the burial to take place at Skyline Memory Gardens, beside her late husband. There are no local services planned.
