Dorothy Perry Herring

Mrs. Dorothy Perry Lucado Potts Herring, age 93, of Low Gap, passed away on Sunday, October 14, 2018 at her home.  She was born August 14, 1925 to the late James Lynwood and Sterria Mae Shortt Lucado. Left to cherish her memories are a daughter and son-in-law, Dorothy and Clifton Weeks; three Grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, and four great-great- grandchildren; special family, Gary and Jennifer Potts and their son Landon as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents Mrs. Herring was preceded in death by her first husband, Woodrow Potts; her second husband, Cleveland Herring and a son, Richard Lynwood Potts as well as several brothers and sisters. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, October 18, 2018 at Dover Baptist Church Cemetery with service conducted by Rev. Ewell Vernon. The family requests that in lieu of flowers memorial donations be made to Cedar Roads Chapel/Falcon Children’s Home Fund, 2111 Cedar Rd, Chesapeake, VA 23323.
