Dorothy Kinzer

Mrs. Dorothy Clarene Hilton Kinzer, 86, of Mount Airy, passed away Tuesday, June 8, 2021, at Central Continuing Care. Mrs. Kinzer was born July 4, 1934, in Grayson County, VA, to the late Avery Shuler and Annie Margaret Clemons Hilton. She was a member of Bannertown Baptist Church and retired from The Derby Restaurant. Left to cherish her memories are a son, Kenneth Mitchell Kinzer; and a sister-in-law, Margaret Hilton. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Kinzer was preceded in death by her husband, Will Ray Kinzer; a sister, Hazel Hinston; and two brothers, Jim Hilton and Luther Hilton. The funeral service will be held Friday, June 11, 2021, at 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mount Airy, with Dr. Jonathan Casstevens and the Rev. Mickey Cogdill officiating. Burial will follow at Skyline Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends Friday 1:00 until 2:00 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Bannertown Baptist Church, 1834 Westfield Road, Mount Airy, NC 27030; or Mountain Valley Hospice and Palliative Care, 401 Technology Lane, Suite 200, Mount Airy, NC 27030.
