Dorothy Louise Richardson

Mrs. Dorothy Louise Richardson went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, September 30, 2019, at 8:45 AM.  Mrs. Richardson was born October 14, 1940, in Carroll County, VA, to Ollie Virginia and Roy Sidney Bryant.  She left behind her husband of 59 years, William McKinley Richardson; her daughters, Rita (Jimmy) Vernon and Noelle Richardson (Steve Catalfamo); her grandchildren, Cleo (Gerald) Goad and Robert Vernon (Savannah Parsons); a great-grandson, Liam Goad; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Richardson was preceded in death by her sister, Joyce Carson; her mother, Ollie Virginia Bryant; and her father, Roy Sidney Bryant.  Mrs. Richardson was deeply loved by her family and members of the community.  The funeral service will be held Wednesday, October 2, 2019, at 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mount Airy, with the Rev. Joe Atkins officiating.  Burial will follow in the Fishers Gap Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
