Douglas "Doug" Ray Flynt

Mr. Douglas “Doug” Ray Flynt, age 78 of Mount Airy, Jesus Christ called him home on Sunday, September 19, 2021. Mr. Flynt was born on November 7, 1942 in Forsyth County, to the late Robert Ray Flynt, Jr and Susan Boles Flynt. Doug was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He will be deeply missed by all that knew him. He loved the Lord Jesus Christ and was of the Baptist faith. Mr. Flynt retired from Cross Creek Apparel Company after many years of service as a truck driver. Left to cherish his memories is his daughter and son-in-law, Teresa Flynt Clifton and Lee; one grandson Bradley Ray Clifton and his fiancée Amber Rippey. In addition to his parents, Mr. Flynt was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Crouse Flynt. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 23, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mount Airy with Pastor Steve Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in the Crestwood Memorial Gardens, in State Road, North Carolina. The family will receive friends on September 23, 2021, from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home in Mount Airy.
