Dr. Franklin John Verbos, Sr

Dr. Franklin John "Frank" Verbos, Sr., age 70, of Stuart, passed away Tuesday, February 8, 2011 at his home. He was born in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania on June 24, 1940 to the late John and Anna Marinak Verbos. In addition to his parents, Dr. Verbos was preceded in death by two sisters, Anne Brinjac and Lucy Christofferson. He graduated from the University of Maryland Dental School. He practiced dentistry in the City of Baltimore for over 30 years, and then locally at the Martinsville Health Department and the Piedmont Dental Clinic.
Dr. Verbos is survived by his wife, Barbara Hall Verbos of the home; three sons, Franklin "Jay" Verbos, Jr. and his wife, Jill, of Mooresville, North Carolina, John Verbos of Cleveland, Ohio, and Michael Verbos of Brooklyn, New York; two grandchildren, Zachary Verbos and Courtney Verbos; and one sister, Julia Skender of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.
The family is receiving friends at any time at the home. A celebration of life will be held at a later date in Baltimore, Maryland.
