Dr. Harry Duane Bralley

Dr. Harry Duane Bralley, 77, of Mount Airy, passed away on Monday evening, October 11, 2021, at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem, NC. He was born on March 24, 1944, in Wythe County, VA to the late Rev. David E. Bralley and Roberta Fields Bralley. Harry spent a lifetime teaching at colleges throughout Virginia, West Virginia, Kentucky, South Carolina and North Carolina. He received his Doctoral Degree from Virginia Tech and taught at Virginia Tech. Mr. Bralley was preceded in death by his parents, Rev. David E. Bralley and Roberta Fields Bralley; two brothers, David Bralley, Jr. and Ralph Bralley; and a sister, Sally Orita Bralley Pike. Harry is survived by a sister, Novella Bralley Riggins; a special sister-in-law, Faye Bralley; many nieces and nephews; and several dear friends. He will be missed by many who simply loved him. A service of worship and celebration of Harry’s life will be held on Saturday, October 23, 2021, at 11:00 AM at Moody Funeral Home in Mount Airy, NC with Rev. Richard Loman officiating. The family will receive friends on Saturday at the funeral home from 10:00 – 11:00 AM. Moody Funeral Services in Mount Airy is serving the Bralley family.
