Dr. Michael Leon Jones

Dr. Michael Leon Jones, age 65 of Stuart, passed away Saturday, April 9, 2016 at Pioneer Community Hospital in Stuart. He was born in Martinsville on December 9, 1950, and is preceded in death by his father, B.F. Jones, Jr. He was a member of Grace Baptist Church, and had been a dentist for over 40 years.

Dr. Jones is survived by his wife of 40 years, Marcia Wood Jones of the home; a son, Christopher M. Jones of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; a daughter and son-in-law. Erin J. and Lewis Carroll of Patrick Springs; his mother, Lucille Williams Jones of Martinsville; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Bennie M. and Judy Jones of Danville, Eddie W. and Renea Jones of Midlothian and Kevin A. and Tonya Jones of Oak Ridge, North Carolina; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 14, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart with Pastor Mark Elkins officiating. Burial will follow in Patrick Memorial Gardens.
