Dr. Thomas M. Rowlett, Jr

Dr. Thomas M. Rowlett, Jr. passed away Thursday, November 5, 2009, in Corpus Christi, Texas. He was born in Concord, NC, November 9, 1926, to the last Dr. Thomas M. Rowlett and Gertrude Jones Rowlett. He and his late wife of 60 years, Frances Marion Rowlett, moved to Corpus Christi in 1955, where he practiced family medicine and emergency room trauma until the late 1990s. He is survived by his sons, John Rowlett of Boston, Mass., and Mark Rowlett of Abilene, Texas, their wives Cynthia and Carrie, and grandchildren, Jill and Kristen. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, November 15, 2009, at Double Creek Church of Christ Cemetery, by the Rev. Roger Sickmiller. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Surry County Animal Shelter, 172 Old County Home Road, Dobson, NC 27017. Moody-Davis Funeral Home in Dobson is serving the Rowlett family.
