Duane Lloyd Thomas

Mr. Duane Lloyd Thomas, 50, of Fancy Gap, VA passed away at his home Sunday, November 17, 2019 after battling illness for many years.  He was born in Missouri June 23, 1969 to the late James and Lola Brown Thomas.  He was a loving husband, father and grandfather with unwavering faith of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.  Mr. Thomas will be affectionately remembered by his wife, Julie Marie Woody Thomas; children and spouses, Cyndy Seaborne, Ashley Jones and Alfonzo, James Thomas, Patrick Nolte, Joshua Aldrich, and Cheyenne Aldrich; nine grandchildren, Aniyah, Juliean, Alfonzo, Cristian, Zandar, Jaxson, Morgan, James, Zaylee and one due any day; sisters, Sandra Brown and Norma Wogoman; and a brother, James Thomas.  In addition to his parents, Mr. Thomas was preceded in death by a son, Ricky Brown-Aldrich.  Mr. Thomas left a word of advice in a quote to his children and grandchildren, “the hardest part is figuring out which way is forward, then all you gotta do is put one foot in front of the other.  Always go forward.”  Online condolences may be made at www.moodyfuneralservices.com.
