Dudley Owen Quesinberry

Dudley Owen Quesinberry, 70, passed away peacefully with family by his side, on Sunday, May 5, 2019 in Jacksonville, FL, after a courageous battle with cancer.  He was born in Surry County to the late Owen Quesinberry and Pauline “Polly” Nichols Quesinberry.  Dudley, originally from Mount Airy, lived most of his adult life in Floyd, VA. He moved to FL to live with his daughter in May, 2018

Dudley is survived by a daughter, Jill L. Quesinberry; his twin sister, Daphne Q. Ayers (Tim) of Mount Airy; brother, Freddie Quesinberry (Cathy) of Mount Airy; and sister, Suze Q. Foushee of Winston Salem. He is also survived by one nephew, Michael R. Foushee of Catawba, NC; three nieces, Melissa A. Quesinberry of Brooklyn, NY; Abigail S. Quesinberry & Elizabeth Q. Chavez (Adrian) of Raleigh, NC. And he is survived by three beautiful great nieces, Mireya, Liliana & Caroline.  In addition to his parents, Dudley was preceded in death by a niece, Amber N. Foushee and a sister-in-law, Carolyn Geiger Quesinberry.

Dudley retired from Corning, Inc. in Christiansburg, VA after 25 dedicated years of service. He was a longtime member of the Moose Lodge 2300 in Floyd, VA, where he was an active member and an officer as long as his health permitted, and where he had many good friends, like brothers.

Per his wishes, there will be no formal service or visitation. A private family  memorial service will take place at a later date.
