Dwain Leo "D.L." Norman

Mr. Dwain Leo "D.L." Norman, 74, of Mount Airy, passed away Saturday, January 9, 2010, at his home. Mr. Norman was born August 20, 1935, in Surry County, to the late Clarence Dewey and Hallie Chilton Norman. He retired from United Plastic Corporation and was a member of the Baptist faith. He is survived by a sister and brother-in-law, Darlene and P.M. Shoffner of Pilot Mountain; a brother, Mike Norman of Mount Airy; a niece and her spouse, Julie and Greg Taylor of Mount Airy; a nephew and his spouse, Stan and LeAnne Shoffner of Pilot Mountain; and great nieces and nephews, Olivia and Clay Taylor of Mount Airy and Nicholas and Kenzie Shoffner of Pilot Mountain. The funeral service will be held Thursday, January 14, 2010, at 2:00 PM at Woodville Baptist Church, with the Rev. Keith Love officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday from 1:00 to 2:00 PM at the church, and other times at the home of his brother, Mike Norman, 110 Bear Paw Trail, Mount Airy.
