E. Kathleen Ward Hawks

Mrs. E. Kathleen Ward Hawks, age 84 of Lambsburg, VA, passed away Monday, July 29, 2013 at the Woltz Hospice Home. Kathleen was an amazing woman who touched the hearts of everyone who knew her. She was born in Carroll County, VA. on August 8, 1928 to the late Bert C. and Della Bobbitt Ward. She was a homemaker and was a member of Lambsburg Missionary Baptist Church. Surviving are her husband, Charles Hawks of the home, two daughters and son-in-law Terri and Tom Lang of Virginia Beach, VA and Jill Hunter of Lambsburg, one son Chuck Hawks of Lambsburg, seven grandchildren, four great grandchildren, one great great grandchild, three sisters and brother-in-law Dorothy Taylor and Alice Mae Ward both of Lambsburg and Bernell and Raymond Holder of Mt. Airy and one half sister Lena Minor of Mocksville. In addition to her parents, Kathleen was preceded in death by a daughter Jenny Hawks and one brother Ralph Ward. Funeral services will be held Friday August 2, 2013 at 2:00 P.M. at the Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mt. Airy with services conducted by Rev. Verlon Combs and Rev. Israel Easter with burial to follow in the Chestnut Grove Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday night 6 to 8 P.M. at the Moody Funeral Home in Mt. Airy, NC.
