Earl Clifton Inman

Mr. Earl Clifton Inman, went home to be with Jesus and so many loved ones on Thursday, September 19, 2019 after a short stay at Surry Community Health and Rehabilitation Center.  He was born in Surry County on October 18, 1913 to the late George Lee and his wife Lillie Belle Simmons Inman.  He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Ruby Elizabeth O’dell Inman, daughter Karen Elizabeth Inman, and a grandson Hayden Maxwell Inman and his wife Camille Gross Inman.  In addition to his parents, Mr. Inman was preceded in death by his son, Davis Lee Inman, his five brothers, Blaine, Conrad, Grady, Ernest and Garl Inman; and his sister Maude Inman.  Mr. Inman worked in the textile industry and served in the U.S. Army.  He fascinated all who knew him with his sharp mind, permanent smile, and few physical limitations.  He will be so dearly missed.  A private family memorial will be held on a later date.  Online condolences may be made at www.moodyfuneralservices.com.
