Eddie Dean Cockerham

Mr. Eddie Dean Cockerham, 55, of Mount Airy, passed away Saturday, May 15, 2010, at Northern Hospital of Surry County. Mr. Cockerham was born January 15, 1955, in Surry County, to the late Daniel Cosby and Betty Mae Atkins Cockerham. Surviving are his loving wife, Vicky Lynn Marshall Cockerham of the home; a daughter, Brandy Nichole Cockerham; a son, Joshua Daniel Cockerham of the home; sisters and brothers-in-law, Georgie and Henry Edwards, Delta and Major Puckett, and Mary Ann and Joe Hull; brothers and sisters-in-law, Sonny and Judy Cockerham and Ricky and Michelle Cockerham; a special friend, Mark Nunn; special cousins, Haley Cockerham and Tony Jarrell; his mother-in-law, Mildred Marshall; and a brother-in-law, Leonard Marshall and his wife, Tonderia. A graveside service will be held at 3:00 PM Tuesday, May 18, 2010, at Oak Grove Baptist Church, with the Rev. Alton Bledsoe officiating. The family will receive friends at Mary Ann Hull's home at 719 Beamer Road in Mount Airy. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Moody Funeral Home to assist with funeral expenses.
