Eddie Eugene Thomas

Mr. Eddie Eugene Thomas, 61, of Mount Airy, passed away Friday, October 9, 2009. Mr. Thomas was born September 30, 1948, in Wytheville, VA, to Willie and Sadie Snow Thomas. He was a well-known auto mechanic. Surviving are three daughters, Jennifer Marie Thomas of Mount Airy, Misty Gail Thomas of Westfield, and Sandy D. Thomas of Dobson; two step-sons, Jason Gwyn and Jonathan Gwyn; three grandchildren, Abagail Thomas, Joshua Martinez, and Annah Martinez; and a brother, Clarence Thomas of Pulaski, VA. In addition to his parents, Mr. Thomas was preceded in death by a sister, Linda Gail Bowman. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, October 14, 2009, at Mount Bethel Moravian Graveyard, conducted by the Rev. Chuck Harmon. The family will receive friends at 117 Kimberly Street in Mount Airy after the service.
