Eddie Lee Love Willard

Mrs. Eddie Lee Love Willard, 76, of 101 Leonhardt Drive, Cana, VA, passed away Sunday morning, November 8, 2015, at her home. Mrs. Willard was born July 27, 1939, in Carroll County, VA, the daughter of the late Rufus Franklin and Mattie Mae Tobler Love. Eddie retired as a sales associate from Roses Stores Inc. after many years of service and was a faithful member of Cana Baptist Church. She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Tamala Lynn Tammy and Bobby Rex Vernon of Cana, VA; a grandson, Jacob Brady Vernon of Cana, VA; three sisters and a brother-in-law, Hattie Mae Love and Mary Jane and Earl McMillian, all of Cana, VA, and Patricia Lineberry of Woodlawn, VA; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Willard was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Edgar Willard; and a brother, James Love. The funeral service will be held Tuesday, November 10, 2015, at 2:00 PM at Cana Baptist Church, with the Rev. Russell Vass and the Rev. Verlon Combs officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home in Mount Airy, where her body will remain until carried to the church to lie-in-state 30 minutes before the funeral service.
