Edith Victoria Ball Haney

Mrs. Edith Victoria Ball Haney age 91 of Dobson passed away on Saturday morning August 11, 2007 at Central Continuing Care Nursing Center in Mt. Airy. She was born in Forsyth County on April 15, 1916 to the late Willard Walker Ball and the late Myrtle Victoria Draughn Ball. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Arthur Seaton Haney; four brothers John, Floyd, Luther and Gilbert Ball. Mrs. Haney was retired from Spencer's of Mt. Airy and was a member of the Dobson United Methodist Church. Surviving are one son and daughter-in-law CW and Linda Haney of Dobson; one daughter and son-in-law Jonnye Sue and Ralph Smith of Stoneville, NC; one grandson Charlie Haney; three great-grandchildren; one special nephew Kenneth Ball of Atlanta, Ga; and other family members Mildred Montgomery of Dobson and Pat Brinkley of Mt. Airy. Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM Tuesday August 14th 2007 in the Chapel of Moody-Davis Funeral Home in Dobson, with burial to follow in the Dobson City Cemetery. Rev. Lonnie Kendall will officiate the service. The Family will receive friends on Tuesday one hour before the service at Moody-Davis Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Dobson United Methodist Church C/O Sally Johnson 316 Union Cross Road, Dobson, NC 27017. The family of Mrs. Haney would like to thank the staff of Central Continuing Care Nursing Center for the love and care given to their mother.
