Edith Lynn Hill

Edith Lynn Leonard Hill, 94, of Cana, VA passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her family Sunday, November 25, 2018.  She was born August 21, 1924 in Carroll County, VA to the late Fred and Ella Easter Leonard.  Edith was a life-long farmer and co-owner of W.O. Hill & Son and Hill’s General Store.  Never afraid of hard work; she took pride in her service to her family and community.  Edith is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Willie F. and Shirley Hill of Cana; granddaughters and spouses, Gina and Jeff Kimble of Concord; Hayley Hill of Cana, and Bethany and Cortney Schaepler of Cana.  In addition to her parents, Edith was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Osler “W.O.” Hill; a sister, Zita Berrier and a brother, Arthur Leonard.  The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to her caregivers whom she loved as her family.  Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, November 28, 2018 at Moody Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Oscar Hill officiating.  Burial will follow at Cana Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 PM.  Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to Joy Ranch, P.O.
