Edith Mae Lowe

Mrs. Edith Mae Moser Lowe, 78, of Mt. Airy, passed Tuesday, August 30, 2022, to her new home in Heaven.  She was born in Surry County, April 15, 1944, to the late William Bazley Moser, Jr. and Ola Mae Dezern Moser.  Edith was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.  She always had a twinkle in her eye that could be heard in her laugh.  Edith loved to cook and felt a responsibility to over feed her family and friends.  She worked as a nurse in different areas due to her husband’s career in the U.S. Air Force ended her career from Northern Regional Skilled Care in Mt. Airy.  Edith was a member of Simmons Grove Baptist Church and active with the WMUs.  In addition to her parents, Edith was preceded in death by her beloved sister, Audrey Tilley.  Left to cherish her memory and continue her legacy is her husband of 58 years, Odell William Lowe of the home; daughters and sons-in-law, Priscilla and Walter Shore of Yadkinville, NC; and Rita and Doel Harvin of Roanoke, VA; grandchildren, Ashley Hammer, Shelby Hammer, great grandchildren, Dylan Hammer and Maria Draper; a brother-in-law, Tommy Tilley; a sister-in-law, Cellie Bowman; a niece Melinda Matthews; a nephew Jimmy Tilley; and a host of extended family.  A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, September 2, 2022, at Simmons Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Jacob Hall officiating.  The family will receive friends at the church on Friday from 10:00 AM until the time of the service.  In lieu of flowers the family has requested that memorial contributions be made to Simmons Grove Baptist Church WMU or Simmons Grove Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, c/o Weldon Lambert, 443 Simmons Grove Church Rd., Pilot Mountain, NC 27041.  Moody Funeral Home in Mt.
