Edith Alene McCraw

Mrs. Edith “Alene” McCraw, 93, of Mount Airy, passed away Friday, January 04, 2019, at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson.  Mrs. McCraw was born in Surry County on June 25, 1925, to the late Worthey Semore and Alice Harris McCraw.  She is survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Sherrill and Barry Greene, Brenda Woods, Kay McCraw, Pamela McCraw, Bob Hall; sons, Danny McCraw, and David McCraw; fourteen grandchildren; four great grandchildren.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. McCraw was preceded in death by daughters, Deborah Sue Hall, and Dorethea McCraw; a son, Darrell Alvin McCraw; a daughter-in-law, Sharon McCraw; a son-in-law, Jack Woods; half-brothers, Wayne McCraw, Alan McCraw, and James Arthur Harris.  A graveside service will be held Tuesday, January 8, 2019 at 11:00 AM at Skyline Memory Gardens with the Rev. Dan Hipley officiating.  There will not be a formal visitation at the funeral home.  The family would like to give a special thank you to her caregiver, Cindy Reavis.  Moody Funeral Home in Mt.
