Edmond M. Wolfkamp

Mr. Edmond “Ed” Wolfkamp, 63, of Mount Airy, passed away Sunday, February 27, 2022, at Forsyth Medical Center.  Ed was born in Los Angeles County, CA, February 21, 1959, to Albertus Wolfkamp and the late Johanna Heijerman Wolfkamp.  Ed bravely served in the US Air Force serving as a refueling specialist.  While in the military, Ed flew KC135, and KC10 planes.  His passion for flying continued after he left the military with his hobby of flying remote control planes with his friends and co-members of the Riverside Aero Modelers Society.  In addition to his father, Ed is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Stephanie Bolin, and husband Kyle Maddux; two sons, Bryce Wolfkamp, and Jared Wolfkamp; three grandchildren, Lillian Bolin, Bradley Bolin, and Link Wolfkamp; the mother of his children, Sheryl Wall Wolfkamp; sister, JoAnne Wolfkamp; and brother, Hans Wolfkamp.  Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, March 3, 2022, at Moody Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Jonathan Casstevens officiating.  Full military rites will be conducted by the VFW honor guard Mt. Airy Post 2019 and Pilot Mountain Post 9436.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 1:00 PM until the time of the service.  A private inurnment will be held at Arlington.  Online condolences may be made at www.moodyfuneralservices.com.
