Edward Randall "Randy" Collins

Mr. Edward Randall "Randy" Collins, 41, of Sanford, passed away Sunday, November 30, 2008, at his home. Mr. Collins was born January 28, 1967, in Surry County, to the late Ed and Blanche Collins. He was retired from the United States Army after serving our country for 22 years. Mr. Collins served during the Gulf War and was employed with the North Carolina Department of Corrections. Surviving are his loving wife, Lisa McGee Collins; a daughter, Calie Nicole Collins; and a son, James Edward Collins, all of the home. The funeral service will be held Thursday, December 4, 2008, at 3:30 PM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mount Airy, with the Rev. Harry Sherrill officiating. Burial will follow in the Hatcher's Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery, will full military honors by the Fort Bragg Honor Guard. The family will receive friends Thursday from 2:30 until the time of the service at the funeral home.
