Edward "Ed" Crawford Foy, III

Mr. Edward “Ed” Crawford Foy, III, 83, of Mt. Airy passed away Thursday, October 17, 2019 at Central Continuing Care in Mt. Airy.  He was born in Surry County on April 16, 1936 to the late Edward Crawford Foy, Jr. and Sallie Rodwell Foy.  Mr. Foy was owner of Foy Lumber Company and a member of Central United Methodist Church.  Mr. Foy proudly served our country in the United States Army.  He is survived by his loving wife, Mary “Linda” Cox Foy; daughters and son-in-law, Sallie Foy, and Lynn Foy Rigney and Scott; grandchildren, Chris Hazel, Michael Hazel, Alex Tedder and Dalton.  In addition to his parents, Mr. Foy was preceded in death by a sister, Jean Rodwell Foy.  There will not be any formal visitation or services at this time.  Moody Funeral Home in Mt.
