Edward Wayne Sutphin

Mr. Edward Wayne Sutphin, age 73, of Ararat, North Carolina passed away Friday morning, August 9, 2024, at his residence. Mr. Sutphin was born in Surry County on April 12, 1951, to the late Edward Junior Sutphin and Glenda Venable Sutphin. He worked for many years in the construction business, he was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend, he’ll be deeply missed by all that knew him. Mr. Sutphin is survived by his wife, Carol Sutphin; daughter and son-in-law, Brandy Edmonds and Kevin; son and daughter-in-law, Shannon Sutphin and Sunni; grandchildren, Cole Sutphin, Camden Edmonds, Sarah Sutphin; sister and brother-in-law, Jill Hall and Tim; brother and sister-in-law, Blake Sutphin and Annette. Per Mr. Sutphin’s request there will be no formal services held at this time. Moody’s of Mount Airy is serving the Sutphin family.
