Effie Bowman Richardson

Mrs. Effie Bowman Richardson, 80, passed away Wednesday, September 23, 2009, at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem. She was born in Patrick County, VA, June 3, 1929, to the late Arthur and Caroline Willard Bowman. She was retired from Renfro Hosiery in Mt. Airy. Surviving are her two daughters, Delores A. Richardson of Ohio and Linda M. Webb of Hillsville, VA; two sons, Larry Glenn Richardson of Cana, VA, and William Lewis Richardson of West Palm Beach, FL; her grandchildren; her great-grandchildren; and a foster brother, Charles McKenzie of Lake Alfred, FL. In addition, she was preceded in death by the father of her children, Robert Glenn Richardson. There will be no formal services held, per her request. Moody-Davis Funeral Home in Dobson is serving the Richardson family.
