Elaine Wilmoth Whitaker

Mrs. Elaine Wilmoth Whitaker, age 60, a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt Affectionally known as LuvE passed away on Thursday May the 8th 2008 at Northern Hospital of Surry County in Mt. Airy.
She was born in Surry County on June 16, 1947 to the late Rufus Jackson Wilmoth and the late Eva Hudson Wilmoth. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one brother Larry Wilmoth. Mrs. Whitaker was a member of Cross Roads Baptist Church and was retired from the North Carolina Cooperative Extension Service as an Extension Agent, and worked in Family & Consumer Sciences. Elaine earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Salem College and a Masters of Science from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. She was a registered dietitian. Elaine was widely known for entertaining and fine cooking with all vying for an invitation
