Eleanor Yvonne Cockerham

Mrs. Eleanor Yvonne Cockerham, age 81, of Mount Airy, passed away Monday evening, September 2, 2024, at Northern Regional Hospital with her loving family by her side. Mrs. Cockerham was born in Surry County on June 8, 1943, to the late Bealey E. Chandler and Jessie Combs Chandler. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, she’ll be deeply missed by all that knew her. Mrs. Cockerham is survived by her loving husband of the home, Donnie Cockerham, daughter, Dorothy Siscoe; son, Scott Parish; grandchildren, Nick Darrh, Danyell Ramsey, great grandchildren, Kathleen Darrh, Ashylnn Byrd, Noah Williams, Baleigh Collins; one great great grandchild, Hudson Sisk. In addition to her parents Mrs. Cockerham was preceded in death by her daughter, Tammy Parish; sons, Spencer Parish, Marion Parish. Per Mrs. Cockerham request there will be no formal services held at this time. Moody’s of Mount Airy is respectfully serving the Cockerham family.
