Eleanor Mae Serina

Ms. Eleanor Mae Serina, 88, of Mount Airy, passed away Tuesday, March 18, 2008, at Northern Hospital of Surry County. Ms. Serina was born February 24, 1920, in Surry County, to the late Arthur T. White and Ila Venable Park Swengel. She retired as a social worker for the State of Florida and was a member of White Plains Friends Meeting. She is survived by a sister and brother-in-law, Tay and Thomas Marlow of Alexandria, VA; a brother and sister-in-law, Thomas and Joyce Park of Lexington, SC; and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held Sunday, March 30, 2008, at 2:00 PM at White Plains Friends Meeting, with the Rev. Robert Blake officiating.
