Elijah McKinley Acord

Baby Elijah McKinley Acord was born sleeping on October 18, 2022, at Hugh Chatham Memorial Hospital in Elkin.  Baby Elijah leaves behind his parents, Colton Charles McKinley Acord, and Victoria Pope Acord; sister, Ella Blake Acord; maternal grandparents, Josh and Hope Pope; paternal grandparents, Eric Acord and Lisa Moncus (James Turner); paternal great-grandparents, Charles and Linda Acord, Mary Moncus; maternal great-grandmother, Trinna Pope; aunts and uncles, Kelsi Ballou (Stuart), Celistrail Lynch, Haley Kramer (Ashton), Blaze Acord (Maddie), Addison Hull (Dakota Rakes),  and numerous cousins.  Elijah was preceded in death by great grandparents, Dennis McKinley Moncus, George Ellis Pope, Donald and Sarah Mae Shelton; great-great- grandparents, Edith “Ras” Acord, and Millie Moncus.  A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 25, 2022, at 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home in Mt. Airy with services conducted by Rev. Chris Oakley.  The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM until time for the service at the funeral home.  Burial will follow at Maple Springs Baptist Church.  Online condolences may be made at www.moodyfuneralservices.com.
