Elisha Eugene Martin

Mr. Elisha Eugene Martin, 80 of Mount Airy, passed away at his home on Friday, June 1, 2018 surrounded by his loving family.  He was born in Surry County on December 3, 1937 to the late Elisha Patterson Martin and Emma Pell Martin.  Mr. Martin proudly served our country in the US Army.  He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who will be dearly missed.  He loved playing horse-shoes and loved spending time with his family and the grandbabies.  Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Patricia Heath Martin; four sons and a daughter-in-law, Jeffery Martin, Gregory Martin, Anthony and Teri Martin, and Timothy Martin; grandchildren, Jenifer Renee Martin, Ryan Martin, Justin Anthony, and Tori Dean; great-grandchildren, Lilyan Mae, Jase Anthony, and Harper Jade; sisters, Jessie Melton and Carolyn Collins; brothers and a sister-in-law, Kenneth Martin, Mike Martin, and Gary and Pat Martin; many nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Eugene Rorrer.  In addition to his parents, Mr. Martin was preceded in death by a grandson, Jeremy Luis; three sisters, Aileen Martin, Grace Marion, and Mildred Martin; and two brothers, George Harrison Martin and Dennis Martin.  No services have been planned at this time.  Moody Funeral Service in Mount Airy is respectively serving the Martin family.
