Elizabeth Sue Braden

Mrs. Elizabeth Sue Watkins Walters Braden, 66, of Mt. Airy passed away at her home Monday, July 1, 2019.  She was born in Kannapolis, NC January 11, 1953 to the late George Charles and Thelma Seago Watkins.  Mrs. Braden was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.  She worked with Lowes Hardware for 10 years.  Sue loved to garden and bird watch. She was an animal lover and spent countless hours nurturing animals and helping to find them permanent homes. In her free time, she loved watching movies and spending time with her husband. Most important she loved Jesus Christ with all of her heart.  She will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Wesley Curtis Braden; her daughter and son-in-law, Amanda and Tee Jay Bondurant; sons and a daughter-in-law, Stephen Walters, and Mark and Lori Walters; grandchildren, Hannah and Derek Jones, Noah Bondurant, Grace Bondurant and Abigail Bondurant; great grandchildren, Lillian Jones and Charlotte Jones; a sister and brother-in-law, Kathy and Connie Burgess; and brother and sister-in-law, Richard and Cindy Watkins; and sister-in-law Leone Watkins.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Braden was preceded in death by her first husband, Stephen Brian Walters, Sr. and her brother Wallace Watkins. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday July 3, 2019 at 3:30 PM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mt. Airy with Adam Bellamy officiating.  The family will receive friends from 2:30 PM until time for the service at the funeral home.
