Elizabeth Ann Willard

Ms. Elizabeth Ann Willard, age 80, of Statesville, passed away early Friday morning, April 11, 2025, at the Sherrills Ford Hospice Home in Sherrills Ford, North Carolina. Ms. Willard was born in Surry County on November 17, 1944, the daughter of Joseph Hezekiah and Elsie Ann Payne Willard. Ms. Willard spent her entire career as a radiologic technologist primarily in the Statesville, NC area before her retirement. Surviving are her nephews and nieces, Kenneth (Shirley) Hollingsworth, Amelia H. (Eddie) Reeves, Nancy Annette Hollingsworth, Rebecca (Becky) Willard, and several other great and great-great nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her infant sister, Sallie Willard; sister, Helen Willard Cooke; brother, Harvey Willard; nephew, Michael (Mike) Willard. A private memorial graveside will be held at Saint Paul Church of the Brethren, in Cana, Virginia. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Sherrills Ford Hospice House, 7473 Sherrills Ford Road, Sherrills Ford, NC 28673. The family would like to acknowledge and to thank special caregiver neighbors Jalisa Keys and her mother, Laverne Zachary Keys who showed compassion and gave much personal care to Ms. Willard for many years.
