Elizabeth Raylene Stanley Wood

Mrs. Elizabeth Raylene Stanley Wood, age 57 of Johnston County formally of Surry County passed away on January 10, 2007 at her home, in Smithfield North Carolina. She was born in Forsyth County on January 14, 1949 to the late Clifton Benjamin Stanley and the late Hallie Elizabeth Hester Stanley.
Mrs. Wood was retired from the Surry County Sheriff's Department. Surviving are her husband Walter Eric Bill Wood of Mt. Airy, two Daughters Billy Jo Wood of Four Oaks NC, Bonnie Sale of Garner, NC; tow sons Walter Clifton Wood of Mt. Airy, NC, David Graham Hobson of East Bend, NC, "a special adoptive son" James Eric Linville of Mt. Airy; five grandchildren; two sisters Mary Stanley Johnson and Daphne Stanley Rogers both of Princeton, NC; her Aunt Bessie Ethel Wood Reid of Mt. Airy, NC: Funeral services will be held 2PM Saturday in the Chapel of Moody-Davis Funeral Home in Dobson with burial to follow in the Rock Hill Baptist Cemetery. Rev. Lee Johnson will officiate the service. The family will receive from 12:30 until the time of the Service at Moody-Davis Funeral Home.
