Ella Mae Cain

Mrs. Ella Mae Cain, age 79, of Mount Airy, passed away on Friday, October 19, 2018 at her home.  She was born December 5, 1938 to the late Lester and Hazel Hawks.  She was retired from Cross Creek Apparel and was a member of Friendly Tabernacle Church.  She was a loving mother and grandmother who will be dearly missed by all who knew her.  Left to cherish her memories are sons and daughters-in-law. David and Agelique Cain Alan and Patricia Cain; daughter, Katie Newman; grandchildren, Dawson, Daniel, Devin and Megan Cain, Tabitha Sprinkle, Sabrina Hatfield; Sisters, Ann Anthony and Polly Harshberger and a brother Bobby Hawks.  In addition to her parents Mrs. Cain was preceded in death by her husband, Wade Cain, sisters, Alene Hodges and Lolene Norman, brothers Roy and Claude Hawks.  A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 22, 2018 at 11:00 AM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel with services conducted by Rev. Dud Spencer. Burial will follow in Skyline Memory Gardens.  The family will receive friends on Sunday evening from 6-8pm at Moody Funeral Home in Mt. Airy.
