Ella Faye Easter Hawks

Mrs. Ella Faye Easter Hawks, 70, of 58 Family Drive, Cana, VA, passed away Sunday, April 10, 2011, at Northern Hospital of Surry County. Mrs. Hawks was born September 13, 1940, in Carroll County, VA, to the late Issac Lester and Ida Marie Gwynn Easter. She retired from Spencer's Inc. and was of the Baptist faith. She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Teresa and Terry Tate and Rhonda and Wayne Butcher, all of Cana, VA; a son and daughter-in-law, Claucy Randall and Christina Hawks of Cana, VA; seven grandchildren, Jeffery Tate, Stacey Butcher, Melissa T. Mack and her husband, Chris Mack, Tony Butcher, Melinda Tate, Cody Hawks, and Anna Hawks; three sisters and a brother-in-law, Linda Easter, Gloria Easter, and Kathy and Craig Easter, all of Ararat, VA; and four brothers and sisters-in-law, Robert and Annie Easter, Lonnie and Helen Easter, Dennis and Rhonda Easter, and Gene and Sharon Easter, all of Cana, VA. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Hawks was preceded in death by her husband, Claucy William Hawks; and a sister, Etta Farris. A graveside service will be held Wednesday, April 13, 2011, at 11:00 AM at Hawks Family Cemetery, with the Rev. Marlie Hawks and the Rev. Eugene Easter officiating. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Mrs. Hawks' home, where she will remain until taken to the cemetery for the graveside service. Moody Funeral Services in Mount Airy is serving the family.
