Ella Marie Gray Talton

Mrs. Ella Marie Gray Talton age 88 of Winston-Salem, widow of Charlie Talton, passed away Wednesday, November 8, 2006 at Arbor Acres in Winston-Salem. Mrs. Talton was born May 9, 1918 in Darlington County, SC to the late Jesse Rushton Gray and Hattie Howell Gray and was a member of Central United Methodist Church in Mount Airy. Surviving are two daughters and son-in-law, Sue Ashby of Winston-Salem and Reba and Lawrence Baldwin of Louisville, KY; three grandchildren, April Ashby of Charlotte, Brian Duncan and wife Laura of Louisville, KY and Phillip Duncan of Louisville, KY and one brother, Fred Gray of Lexington, KY. A memorial service will be held on Saturday November 11, 2006, at 11:00 AM at Arbor Acres Fellowship Hall in Winston-Salem. The service will be conducted by Rev. Douglas Suggs. The family wishes to thank the entire Arbor Acres staff for all the kindness shown to Mrs. Talton during the five years she was a resident. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Arbor Acres United Methodist Retirement Community Financial Assistance Program 1240 Arbor Road, Winston-Salem, NC 27104.
