Elva Biggs Cassady

              Mrs. Elva Biggs Cassady, age 99 of Stuart, passed away Tuesday, September 20, 2022, at her home.  She was born in Patrick County on May 4, 1923, to the late Enoch Biggs and Verda Corns Biggs.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bennie Cassady; one son-in-law, Dewey Hall; three sisters, Nannie Griffin, Beatrice Wood, Katherine Biggs; and three brothers, Gilmer, Boyd, and Raymond Biggs.  Mrs. Cassady attended Middle Cross Missionary Baptist Church.

         Surviving are two daughters and a son-in-law, Iristine and Ralph Hall of Stuart, Marie Hall of Sandy Ridge, NC; one son and daughter-in-law, Roger and Gail Cassady of Stuart; five grandchildren, Dianne Hughes and husband, Perry, Kevin Hall and wife, Amanda, Alan Hall and wife, DeAnn, Greg Cassady and wife, Jennifer, Brad Cassady and wife, Melanie; 10 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

         A graveside service will be held Friday, September 23, 2022, at 2:00 PM at Pleasant Grove Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery with Pastor Michael Morrison officiating.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Pleasant Grove Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery Fund c/o LaRay Smith, 154 Dominion Valley Rd, Stuart, VA 24171.  Online condolences may be sent to www.moodyfuneralservices.com.
