Elva Jean "Shelby" Goins Parker

Mrs. Elva Jean "Shelby" Goins Parker, 69, of 541-A Merritt Street, Mount Airy, passed away Thursday, November 15, 2007, at her home. Mrs. Parker was born April 13, 1938, in Stokes County, to Susie Montgomery Goins and the late Simon Peter "Sam" Goins. She was a homemaker and a member of the Baptist faith. She is survived by a son, Rory D. Parker of Medford, OR; five grandchildren, Cody Parker, Cari Parker, and Joshua Bolton, all of Medford, OR, Jonathan Bolton of Jacksonville, FL, and Jeremiah Bolton of Bassett, VA; her mother, Susie Montgomery Goins of Mount Airy; and two sisters, Mary Wall and Hazel Hunter, both of Mount Airy. In addition to her father, Mrs. Parker was preceded in death by her husband, David Harold Parker; a daughter, Teresa Robin Bolton Brown; a sister, Shirley Rogers; and two brothers, S.A.
