Emma Lou Crotts

Miss Emma Lou Crotts, age 88 formally of Cana, Virginia passed away on Sunday morning, July 2, 2023, at Heritage Hall in Laurel Fork, Virginia.  Miss Crotts was born August 18, 1934, in Carroll County, Virginia to the late Jessie Elbert and Eliza Margaret Hawks Crotts.  Emma was a loving daughter, sister, aunt, and friend.  She will be deeply missed by all that knew her.  Surviving are her sister and brother-in-law, Nancy Crotts Tate and husband Jesse; two nieces, Brenda Chappell, Teresa Edwards; four nephews, Terry Tate, Ricky Crotts, Ray Haynes, Dale Haynes, and Jesse Burton.  In addition to her parents, Miss Crotts was preceded in death by her sister, Bessie Crotts Haynes Burton; her brother, Chester Loman Crotts; and two nephews, Roy Haynes and Loman Crotts.  A graveside service will be held on Thursday, July 6, 2023, at 2:00 PM at the Crotts Family Cemetery in Cana, Virginia with Elderd Arwood Edwards officiating.  Interment will follow in the cemetery.  The family will receive friends on Thursday, July 6, 2023, at the Crotts Family Cemetery from 1:30 PM until 2:00 PM.  Moody Funeral Services in Mount Airy has been entrusted with the arrangements.
