Emma Eunice Wilson Gravely

Mrs. Emma Eunice Wilson Gravely, 91, of Mount Airy, passed away Sunday, October 3, 2010, at Northern Hospital of Surry County. Mrs. Gravely was born October 21, 1918, in Patrick County, VA, daughter of the late George W. and Cova Rorrer Wilson. She retired from Tharrington School as a lunchroom worker. Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Roger and Michelle Gravely of Ararat, VA; a brother and sister-in-law, Charlie R. and Sylvia Wilson of Mount Airy; and two special caregivers, Rita McHone and Wanda Gravley. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Gravely was preceded in death by her husband, Orion Roger Gravely; a daughter, Patty Davis; a brother, Edgar Wilson; and a sister, Myrtle Bingman. The funeral service will be held Wednesday, October 6, 2010, at 11:00 AM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mount Airy, with the Rev. Doug Cockerham officiating. Burial will follow at Skyline Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 7:00 until 9:00 PM at the funeral home.
