Emma Lee Paul Gallman

Mrs. Emma Lee Paul Gallman, 94, of Mt. Airy passed away Wednesday, March 1, 2023, at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson.  She was born in Surry County on July 22, 1928, to the late Hobert Earl and Exie Lee Collins Bateman.  Mrs. Gallman retired from Kentucky Derby Hosiery and was of the Baptist faith.  She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Gene and Janice Paul; grandchildren, Stephen Paul, Scott Paul, Evelyn Doerner, Lisa Bondurant, and John David Bondurant; 9 great grandchildren; one great-great granddaughter; a brother and sister-in-law, Al D. and Carolyn Bateman; several nieces and nephews, and a special nephew, David Cook.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Gallman was preceded in death by her first husband, Dennis Paul; her second husband, Walter Gallman; a daughter, Cheryl Bondurant; a granddaughter, Martha Waite; and two brothers, James and Greer Bateman.  A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, March 7, 2023, Oakdale Cemetery with the Rev.
