Emma Blanche Brannock McBride

Mrs. Emma Blanche Brannock McBride, 72, of 1536 Fairfield Drive, Mount Airy, passed away Sunday, December 30, 2007, at Central Continuing Care. Mrs. McBride was born July 29, 1935, in Surry County, to the late James Walter and Emma Blanche Brown Brannock. She retired from Spencer's Inc. and was a member of Grace Moravian Church. She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Donna and Kevin Isaacs of Mount Airy; two granddaughters, Crystal Marie Isaacs and Courtney Elizabeth Isaacs, both of Mount Airy; a sister, Polly Marie Holder of Mount Airy; and two brothers and three sisters-in-law, George Franklin Brannock of Mount Airy, Walter Lewis and Elva Brannock of Portsmouth, VA, JoAnn Brannock of Clemmons, and Irene Brannock of Mount Airy. In addition to her parents, Mrs. McBride was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Leftridge McBride; a grandson, Tyler Kevin Isaacs; a sister, Cora Lee Brannock; two brothers, Jimmy Brannock and Harry Brannock; and a brother-in-law, Marvin Holder. The funeral service will be held Wednesday, January 2, 2008, at 2:00 PM at Grace Moravian Church. The service will be conducted by the Rev. Jeff Coppage, and burial will follow at Skyline Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends at Grace Moravian Church on Wednesday from 1:00 PM until the time for the funeral service.
