Emma M. Weaver

Mrs. Emma M. Weaver, 85, of Mt. Airy passed away Thursday, November 25, 2021, at Surry Community Health and Rehabilitation in Mt. Airy. She was born in Alleghany County on August 12, 1936, to the late Vesper and Delta Hawks Mabe. Mrs. Weaver retired from Spencer’s and a member of Antioch Baptist Church. She is survived by a son, William “Billy” Thomas Weaver, Jr.; a sister, Mary Lee Carpenter; many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Weaver was preceded in death by her husband, William Thomas Weaver; a sister, Eva Keyes; brothers, Coy Elbert Mabe, and Clarence Mabe. A funeral service will be held Tuesday, November 30, 2021, at 11:00 AM at Antioch Baptist Church with the Rev. Grant Atkins and the Rev. Dale Wallace officiating. Burial will follow in Cranberry Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery in Laurel Springs. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 10:00 until 11:00 AM at the church.
